    Arteriovenous Fistula First Logo
    The Fistula First project is a new initiative aimed at increasing the use of Arteriovenous Fistulas (AVFs) for hemodialysis access. Based on recommendations by the National Kidney Foundation's Dialysis Outcomes Quality Initiative, the goal of the Fistula First project is to achieve AVF rates of 50% for incident patients and at least 40% for prevalent patients undergoing hemodialysis.
