Our Mission

To provide leadership and assistance to renal dialysis and transplant facilities in a manner
that supports continuous improvement in patient care, outcomes, safety and satisfaction.

Educating Patients

Our goal is to improve the health care service and quality of life for ESRD patients. We do this by providing information, counseling, guidance, education and referral assistance to patients, their families and renal professionals.

We address complaints and maintain a grievance process where a patient can voice concerns about a dialysis provider or patient care issue.

In conjunction with the Quality Improvement Department, we provide training on conflict resolution and managing challenging patients.

We coordinate the activities of the Patient Advisory Committee (PAC), a group of dialysis and transplant patients who participate in the development of patient education materials and otherwise make recommendations on issues of concern to the Medical Review Board and Board of Directors. One PAC member serves on the Network Board of Directors and Medical Review Board.

Unfortunately, we cannot help with the issues listed below; patients are encouraged to speak to the Social Worker at the dialysis facility for assistance/referral.

  • Recommendation on specific doctors or clinics
  • Financial assistance
  • Transportation service
  • Dialysis facility or staff licensure
  • Obtaining medical insurance
  • Trace payments or status of applications through the Medicare, Medi-Cal or disability systems
